Year in Review: PR News’ Best Expertise of 2021
PR News had a big year in 2021, celebrating its 15th anniversary and winning industry recognition with a number of trophies. One of the central events of the awards season was the 2021 AMEC Communication Effectiveness Awards, the Oscars of media measurement, announced on November 30. For the first time in its history, PR News won three awards including for Research and Measurement Team of the Year. Our efforts this year were also recognized at Silver Mercury, Sabre Awards, Eventiada IPRA, Impact Awards and RuPoR Awards.
In May, PR News won its first Silver Mercury for Best Communication Research with Museums Online and the Special Award for Global Contribution to the Advancement of Communications Research in the Area of Culture and Museums.
The summer brought two more accolades. CEO Lilia Glazova was for the first time named Media Manager of the Year in Communications/Public Relations by the Russian Association of Communication and Corporate Publishing Directors and PR News joined the winners of the prestigious EMEA IN2 SABRE Awards with a Best in Measurement, Post-Campaign Analysis nod for its work with Greenpeace.
In November, PR News scored its first-ever triple win at the AMEC Awards, claiming the Gold for Best Evaluation on a Small Budget with a survey for the Moscow Museum of Cosmonautics, a Bronze for its work for Samsung Electronics Rus and, most importantly, the title as Communications Research & Measurement Team of the Year, Medium. PR News is especially pleased that this recognition of company’s efforts on the global level coincided with its 15th anniversary.
In addition to presenting its annual awards and to mark its 25th anniversary, AMEC compiled a list of rising stars, the industry’s 25 most promising professionals. Included in this global constellation of young talent were two members of the PR News team, Head of Monitoring Alexandra Osinenko and Head of Innovation and Methodology Yelena Rodionova.
The awards season continued with the announcement of 2021 Eventiada IPRA GWA winners including PR News in the Best Measurement and Evaluation category for Russia’s consumer rights watchdog Rospotrebnadzor.
Shortly after that the recipients of the 2021 Impact Awards, a special program under the aegis of Global Women in PR that recognizes achievements by women in PR, were named. Lilia Glazova was honored for her efforts raising awareness of communication measurement.
On December 17 and 18, the entries for the 2021 RuPoR Awards, which recognize achievements in the advancement of public relations, were presented. The PR News Communication Measurement Academy took home the prize in the category for education projects in communications and Lilia Glazova was awarded for her contribution to public relations.
One more piece of good news came from abroad as Propel included Lilia Glazova among the 100 Most Influential Tech PR Professionals in the World 2021.
